We love a nice Corvette here at Carget Automotive. We're always on the lookout for nice examples of this iconic American sports car. So when GM announced a new limited edition Corvette, we jumped on the opportunity. We recently took delivery of our new C8.R Edition Corvette, so here are some pictures and a background on this unique model.
Corvette C8.R Edition
The Corvette C8.R race car dominated the GTLM class in the 2020 IMSA series; winning the Manufacturer's, Drivers', and Team titles. To commemorate this, Chevrolet announced its plans to make a special edition Corvette for the 2022 model year. Its official name is "2022 Corvette IMSA GTLM Championship C8.R Edition", but you can call it the Corvette C8.R Edition.
The Corvette C8.R Edition is based on a Stingray 3LT Z51. There are only two colour liveries available: Accelerate Yellow with Gray Graphics or Hypersonic Gray with Yellow Graphics. It's available in both coupe or convertible bodystyle, and it features the following upgrades:

Collectability
With a limited run of only 1000 units, this is one of the rarest examples of the C8 generation Corvette. 700 were made for the US market, 160 came to Canada, 12 went to Mexico, and 118 went to the Middle East.
Our car is chassis #606; it's a coupe finished in Accelerate Yellow, which is the rarest combination for the C8.R.
